- Wrote to ICC in 1988 suggesting Third Umpire, Fitness Experts, Fielding Restrictions, Foreign coaches, SL to joint host World Cup and expanding SL’s selection policy to include remote outstations. All his suggestions have been implemented.
- Shared room with Lankan spinner in 93. Advised him not to change his action.
